The Role

An exciting opportunity has been created for two Allied Health Professionals (AHP) to work across the Integrated Care system in Kent and Medway. The roles, hosted by the Kent and Medway NHS Partnership Trust will be working as part of the recently formed AHP Faculty. The successfully candidates will work in collaboration with Kent & Medway Health and Social care providers and local Universities to expand the student placement capacity across all 14 AHP professions. The roles will involve you working in partnership with Health Education England, clinical colleagues, and placement and apprenticeship providers across Kent & Medway to ensure AHP students receive a quality experience whilst on clinical placement.

You will act as a role model, to support staff to facilitate high quality student educational placements, whilst facilitating best practice and new ways of working. These roles offer great career development opportunity and a stepping stone into working collaboratively across the Kent & Medway ICS and with Health Education England. If you are passionate about supporting the future AHP workforce then this is the job for you.

These posts will be a secondment opportunity for band 7 AHPs starting in January 2021 and ending November 2021.

New starter bonus. We value our nurses and the skills they bring therefore we offer New Hire Bonus of £1200 pro rata for band 5 and 6 nursing staff.

Induction. KMPT provides comprehensive Induction programme to support new employees. This ranges from 2 days to 4 weeks dependent on role (not always consecutive days). You may need to travel across site includes Canterbury, Maidstone and Dartford.

Probation Period. New employees external to KMPT are subject to a six month probationary period.
