An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Elective Vascular Unit for Band 2 nursing assistants to join the vascular team.

The unit is currently open to 20 in-patient beds. EVU is an elective vascular surgery ward that also offers the opportunity for acute illness management due to the complexity of the patients.

You will need to have:
  • Level 2 NVQ/Apprenticeship in Health and Care
  • Excellent communication skills - in particular listening skills
  • A friendly, open, empathetic and compassionate communication style
  • A strong ability to engage with patients, visitors and colleagues
  • The ability to work well in a team

This is a family friendly trust that provides an onsite nursery for preschool aged children and will consider flexible working with their flexible working policy.

Positions are available for full time staff at 37.5 hours per week although part-time hours may be considered for any suitable candidates.

Applicants who are offered an apprenticeship will be paid at £17,051.04 per annum and will progress to Band 2 £18,005 - £19,337 per annum upon successful completion. If you are already qualified you will commence at the bottom of Band 2.
