Band 4 Qualified Coder/Band 3 Apprentice Coder Full time 37.5 hours per week

At Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust an exciting opportunity has arisen for an ACC qualified coder or an apprentice coder to join our friendly Clinical Coding team.

As an ACC qualified coder you would be coding the full range of acute specialties plus the specialist services of Plastic Surgery and Spinal Rehabilitation. You will have experience of coding in an acute Trust and a good knowledge of all current coding standards.

As an Apprentice Coder you would be enrolled in a Level 3 apprenticeship as a Clinical Coder of 18 to 24 months duration. After completion of the apprenticeship and passing the national exams to become an Accredited Coder the post would become a Band 4. The apprenticeship would include a mix of on site training and remote/offsite training .

If this job requires you to have DBS check to enable you to properly fulfil the requirements of the job, on appointment, you will be required to replay the cost of obtaining a DBS check and this amount will be reclaimed in installments from your salary.
