Healthcare Support Worker Band 3

Community Team - Chippenham

22.5 Hours/Week


If you love working in a community setting or want to start a new career in the community we have a great opportunity for a Band 3 Health Care Support Worker to join our motivated and proactive Chippenham Community Team.

The team is based in Chippenham Community Hospital and provides patient care between 07.00 - 22.00 hours with shift patterns including some weekends and late shifts. Our core working hours are 8.00- 16.00 and this post is over 3 days.

As a Healthcare Support Worker you will predominantly be supporting our therapy team to provide a wide range of therapy interventions in patients' homes and other community clinical settings using remote working technology. This includes rehabilitation, equipment provision and support with exercise programs. The role is varied and interesting as we provide support to many patients with complex needs, provide a timely response to unplanned referrals and support patients on discharge from hospital.

Applicants will need experience in patient care alongside excellent communication skills. We are a busy, friendly team, who would welcome the opportunity to work with a new member of staff who is enthusiastic motivated and has a good understanding of person centered care. Our Healthcare Support workers have, or will be required to achieve a Health Care Support Worker Apprenticeship Level 3 and Care Certificate.

All new starters with Wiltshire Health and Care are subject to a six month probationary period, which runs alongside the induction process to help create a positive and supportive working environment which allows new staff to learn the key elements of the role.
