An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join our established and dedicated Estates Team.

In this role you will contribute to ensuring that DHCFT delivers a high-quality service which meets the needs of all our patients and families in line with the DHCFT strategy.

The Estates Department is seeking to recruit a highly motivated Mechanical Craftsperson to assist with mechanical PPM, minor works and day to day reactive maintenance.

The mechanical programme is critical to achieving a suitable patient environment for all Wards and Departments to deliver the highest level of care.

To be successful in this role, you will be educated to a fully recognised/ or working towards an Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering to City and Guilds/NVQ Level 3 and have relevant post-Apprenticeship experience or significant relevant experience in the health care sector.

You will be expected to perform a wide range of duties covering all aspects of mechanical maintenance applicable to the trade.

The successful candidate will be accountable directly to the Estates Officers and overall to the Estates Operational Manager.

DBS Check
The cost of undertaking a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) disclosure will be met by the individual. The Trust will meet the initial costs of the disclosure which will be deducted from your first month's salary. The current price of a standard check is £23 and an enhanced check is £40.
