What will the apprentice be doing?

You'll help a teamincluding architects and engineers to design allkindsof systems such as energymanagement, heating,ventilation, airconditioning, drainage, lighting, power, water services,life-safetysystems,communicationsand buildingtransportation. You'll work withrenewableand emergingtechnologies, and enjoy the chance to take part in a wide range of projects - from newly built sports stadia, to therefurbishmentof historic premises.

Your projects could span avarietyof sectors, includingeducation, sports, healthcare, commercial, residential and industrial. At Arup, you will have the advantage of Building Information Modelling (BIM)technology. BIM enables us to design buildingscollaborativelyusing computer models.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

As part of yourapprenticeship, you'll study towards a Level 6 degreeinBuilding Serviceswith one of our partner universities on a day release basis.

When joining us as one of our apprentices, you'll enjoy the opportunity to study for a paid, professionally-recognised qualification in a discipline that will help you further your career.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll have access to our online network. You'll also take internal courses. These cover technical aspects of the business, such as software, but also vital 'soft' skills such as report writing and working effectively.
