Shift Pattern - 23.30 -8am Sun-Tues

We have long term placement opportunities available for band 2 Healthcare Technical Officer/Lab Assistant available at Filton Blood Bank, specifically providing the following
  • Undertaking precise repetitive and routine tasks, carrying out manipulation of equipment and handling blood bags and blood samples/donations on a regular basis
  • Handling blood bags and a range of equipment
  • Manually handling equipment on a daily basis weighing up to 13 kgs, with or without mechanical aids, with appropriate training
  • You must have had HEP B Vaccinations to do this role, as you will be working with Blood Products

Skills/Responsibilities:

You must have a minimum of GCSE grade C or above including English and Maths or equivalent qualification. You need to be confident computers and packages such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word etc.)
