We currently have some exciting vacancies within the Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust which will allow the successful candidates to gain regular shifts and valuable experience within a unique environment. The Trust is recruiting for an Advanced Primary Mental Health Practitioner.

The post holder will be part of the Specialist Community Team serving the populations of Wokingham and Bracknell, supporting young people with multiple or complex mental health difficulties, requiring multi-disciplinary or multi-agency interventions. The team includes Psychiatrists, Family Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Specialist Nurses, Specialist Mental Health Practitioners, and Creative Therapists.

Base - PCAMHS - CAMHS Central Specialist Community Team.

You may be required to work at or from any additional location as may be determined by the Trust from time to time. The Trust also reserves the right from time to time to change your base on a permanent basis to a location determined by it at the time that the change is made.

You may also be required to travel between Trust premises as may be required for the performance of your duties.

Band 7 - Example Rate

Day Rate - £23.90 per hour

Night/Sat Rate - £30.73 per hour

Sun/Bank Holiday Rate - £37.55 per hour

JOB SUMMARY: CAMHS COMMUNITY TEAM ROLE OVERVIEW

The Berkshire Specialist CAMH Service is made up of several different specialist teams:
  • Common Point of Entry (CPE) triage team & rapid response team
  • Specialist Community Teams (locality based)
  • Anxiety and Depression Specialist Pathway
  • ADHD Specialist Pathway
  • AAT Diagnostic Pathway
  • CYP Eating Disorders

Responsibilities include -
  • To ensure services are delivered in a manner that is appropriate, relevant, and respectful to all community members, recognising the diversity of ethnicity, culture, belief, privilege and capacity of service users and carers.
  • Be responsible for the effective delivery and quality of care standards for a sub-division of service or for the delivery of specialist services across an organizational and geographical area.
  • To make appropriate judgments that best improve the treatment outcomes for the child, young person and their families' as well as improve resilience and recovery and which mitigates risk to themselves or others.
