Our integrated Trust provides comprehensive hospital and community health services for its local population and a range of specialist services for a wider group of patients. These specialist services include obstetrics, neonatology, foetal medicine, fertility, neuro-rehabilitation, bariatric surgery, and asthma and allergy services.

The trust is an active partner in bringing different services together across City and Hackney to provide integrated care closer to home.

Homerton has a proud tradition of supporting and developing its staff, including its well regarded and valued nursing community, and all staff are able to take advantage of a great range of benefits.

Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is proud to have been included on the HSJ and Nursing Times Best Places to Work list, and has recently achieved 'Excellence' status in the Healthy Workplace Charter, as awarded by the Greater London Authority.

The Role

Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust sits in one of the most diverse locations in the UK. The Trust is committed to and champions equality and diversity in all aspects of practice and service delivery.

The Trust went live with its comprehensive Electronic Clinical Patient Record/EPMA System in July 2015. Vital signs are recorded direct from BP machines, electronic prescribing and electronic drug charts are in use Trust-wide and patient documentation (clinical notes, care planning) is now electronic for the entire multidisciplinary team. This has transformed our working practices and is a really exciting time to join the Trust.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated technician to join our team of rotational technicians. The post holder will participate in a structured rotational programme gaining experience and training in:

• Dispensary services
• Distribution and Community Health Services
• Procurement and Homecare Services
• Clinical Trials and High Cost Drugs Data Management

You will also be able to undertake the Accredited Checking Technician qualification, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training and, if appropriate, work towards gaining the Practice Supervisor (PS) or Educational Supervisor (ES) qualification.

Interview Date: 11th December 2020
