NUTRITION & DIETETIC SERVICES - SENIOR SPECIALIST DIETITIAN (Band 6 Renal)

Fixed term post: 14 months term - up to 37.5 hours per week (job share/part-time applications also welcome)

Grade: AFC Band 6 (or 5 to 6 progression, depending on experience)
Salary Range: TBC per annum (or pro-rata)

Would you like to work as part of an established MDT and be part of a large diverse dietetic department?

If yes, we are offering an opportunity to do both and would welcome an enthusiastic dietitian to come and join the renal team at South Tees Hospitals Nutrition and Dietetic service.

Due to a maternity leave in the service, we have a fixed term post available within the Renal Dietetic team at The South Tees Nutrition and Dietetic service. This is an exciting opportunity for a proficient Band 5 / Band 6 wishing to gain experience in renal dietetics. The post holder will work across both in patients and out patients and will gain wide ranging experience in a variety of areas including pre dialysis, dialysis - both haemodialysis and peritoneal, post-transplant and everything in-between!

The post holder will be regularly involved in education of students, health care professionals and support workers. You will be given supervision and support from the experienced renal dietetic team as well as the wider renal MDT.

The post holder would be required to work within The James Cook University Hospital and may be required to provide a service to our satellite dialysis units at based in Darlington, Stockton and Middlesbrough. You must have HCPC registration.

We have excellent clerical support and access to IT facilities within the department. Continual Professional Development is actively encouraged, as is participation in audit and evidence based practice. We have been Base Trainers for student dietitians for a number of years, currently taking A, B and C placement students.

Our office bases have an ideal location within easy reach of the picturesque East Coast, North Yorkshire Moors and mainline train route to Scotland, and popular cities of Newcastle, Durham, York and Leeds.
