Quality Improvement Project Manager

We are recruiting for a Quality Improvement Project Manager who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best of People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

The successful post holder will be responsible for the day to day management and coordination for many aspects of the Quality Improvement & GIRFT (Get It Right First Time) agenda including The Medway Innovation Institute.

The QI Project Manager will be the main point of contact for staff members and departments submitting training requests and ideas through The Medway Innovation Institute website. Hence the post holder will require effective team working, networking and influencing skills, especially in a high pressure environment. You will work closely with the Head of QI & GIRFT as well as the wider Transformation team to ensure that QI methodology is used and promoted in all project management throughout the Trust.

The Medway Innovation Institute is made up of a team of Trust QI trained coaches who are here to help staff accelerate quality improvement, research, education and patient care. The Institute brings together all of the experience, resource and support our staff need to capture their learning and provide the momentum needed for real change. We work with key partners across health and social care, academia and business, as well as key regulators and accelerators to bring the best advice and opportunities to the Institute's projects. The post holder will be at the forefront of The Institute working with the Head of QI & GIRFT & The Executive Director for Transformation and IT to lead The Institute in to becoming a driving force for change not just in the trust but at ICP, ICS and Regional levels.

The position will be offered as permanent and full time. We consider applicants from a variety of backgrounds and clinical/non-clinical settings, who could bring their experiences and skills to our team. The successful applicant will have project management experience and a 'can do' attitude to problem solving, with an ability to work pro-actively and independently with self-assured confidence.
