Please note all staff being recruited are expected to be available to work flexibly across our new Trust sites when service demands require it.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and self-motivated Counsellor/Therapist to be the Specialist Wellbeing Practitioner in Occupational Health. The successful applicant needs to have demonstrated experience of providing support for stress-related and mental health difficulties in both individual and group settings.

The role will hold a clinical caseload providing assessments and psychological interventions, including short-term counselling, stress management, mindfulness practice and debriefing. You will also be working closely with the Wellbeing team designing and implementing a holistic proactive approach across the merged Trust.

The post-holder will be reporting to the OH Manager and supported by the staff Clinical Psychologist, working across the newly merged trust of University Hospitals Dorset.

You must have excellent clinical and a high level of counselling skills, have experience of working within the NHS environment, be a good communicator, and have a keen interest in health and well-being. You should be able to work effectively alone, and as part of the multidisciplinary team.

Hours: 37.5 per week. Part time working pattern will be considered

This post will be based in the Occupational Health Department across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole hospital
