On our 4 year programme you'll receive tailored on-the-job training from industry experts from day one combined with early responsibility to help you to develop and progress.

You'll be working towards a Level 6 apprenticeship inSupply Chain Leadership Professional(integrated degree).

If you are offered an apprenticeship; you will have a buddy or a mentor who will help you to prepare for joining GSK and will be there to offer support and guidance throughout your apprenticeship.

Working with both your line and programme manager we want to identify the right opportunities to help you succeed in the short term and throughout your career with us.

Your role might include:
  • Managing our supplier relationships and problem solving to find solutions
  • Scheduling and planning our raw materials, components and Oral Healthcare production lines
  • Learning about warehouse operations including inbound and outbound logistics
  • Understanding the complexities of shipping internationally, cold train and customs
  • Assisting with the logistics of new product introductions, packaging and shipping
  • Attending daily and weekly performance meetings
  • Helping team members with data collection and data analysis - and generating reports to inform business decisions.
  • Learning how to use SAP - the most widely used Enterprise resource planning system in the World.
  • Working on continuous improvement projects to improve the way we work and maximise results

This apprenticeship combines on-the-job learning with a programme of training and development.

As you progress in the role you will have more responsibility, potentially picking up your own portfolio of products and production lines to manage

  • A minimum 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) 9-5 (C or above) including Maths, English Language (not Literature) and a Science
  • To have achieved or be predicted to achieve 96 UCAS points from your top 3 A Levels (or equivalent) not including General Studies
