The Business

The Retirement business is the largest part of our Human Capital & Benefits segment, providing advice on running many of the largest UK Defined Benefit (or Final Salary) pension schemes.

By joining Willis Towers Watson, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the largest pension schemes in the United Kingdom. We tackle complex challenges on a day to day basis, making a real difference for many employees and pensioners in a highly dynamic working environment. Often our client and project work have a very high public profile, meaning the work we do in the office could be the news the next day.

Please note that we do not accept multiple applications and you should only select and apply to one programme per year.

Location: Reigate

Demonstrate your passion for client delivery in financial consulting services and make an immediate impact. You'll learn what we do for our clients as you build strong working relationships and develop valuable skills from day one. In return we will fully support you with studying towards an internationally recognised actuarial qualification (Certified Actuarial Analyst) to go with your salary and benefits package.

You'll be working within our Retirement team helping to provide advice to many of the leading UK company pension schemes. The Analyst Apprentice is a consulting support role where you will work as part of a team on a wide variety of complex projects serving as a key resource for our many client teams.

Typical work will include:
  • Complex data manipulation
  • Calculating and valuing the benefits of individual members
  • Pension scheme valuations
  • Accounting disclosures
  • Monthly client billing
  • Cross-departmental projects

You will be part of a small local apprentice team but also included in a wider growing group of apprentices in other offices and disciplines. Your manager and assigned mentor will be on hand at all times to fully guide you through your programme - making adjustments as necessary to ensure you achieve your full potential.
