    GCSE Grade ‘C' or above in Maths and English, or the equivalent, such as key skills or functional skills.

    Future prospects

    Higher apprentices can progress onto: the Level 5 Higher Apprenticeship in Management & Leadership, further or higher education to undertake business related or other qualifications, including foundation degrees in areas such as business, business management, and business administration, a range of business and management undergraduate programmes and a range of business or management professional qualifications at Level 5 and above. Membership of professional bodies may also be possible.

    Things to consider

    Apprentices will work alongside experts in various subject areas and will be expected to act in a professional manner at all times. They must take responsibility for their own work and accept feedback in a positive way, use their initiative and show resilience within the workplace. Apprentices must familiarise themselves with DIO policies and procedures and ensure they comply with these.

    The successful candidate will be expected to begin in post a minimum of one month before the start date of the training course.

    Occasional travel in the UK will be required.

    The Apprentice role will involve an element of home study in order to fulfil the requirements of the qualification.
