Duties to include:
  • Supporting a multi-disciplinary team of engineers to help create electronic prototypes
  • Support CDP's team of electronic engineers to find faults/tune designs for prototypes
  • Manage prototype PCB builds with the use of external manufacturers, or manage and build complex designs using CDP's in-house population facilities
  • Confidently manage PCB designs with minimal input from design engineers
  • Working within defined quality processes and procedures, you are responsible for ensuring that ISO9001 (and ISO13485 where applicable) standards have been met during the PCB design and manufacturing process
  • Be able to utilise mechanical and electrical CAD packages to be able to test prototypes and design test rigs to test electrical systems
  • Liaise with appropriate internal and external stakeholders at all levels to ensure that engineering and manufacturing operations are completed in line with agreed time scales
  • Produce and maintain reports and ensure product and process documentation is completed and analysed

Desired qualifications

  • BTEC, OND or similar in a technical discipline required
  • 5 GCSE's at grade 4/C or above, including mathematics, English, and a science
  • Engineering related Apprenticeship in form of NVQ Level 3 (if applicable)
  • Essential work history of being involved in the Engineering industry


Future prospects

  • Strong career progression - if successful they will receive a pay rise
  • Progression to Senior Electronics Technician or Electronics Engineer
