Mechanical Supervisor

Rate of Pay - Agenda for Change Band 5 (24,907, 30,615)

37.5 hour week, plus on-call, plus overtime if required.

Applicants are invited for the post of Mechanical Supervisor at this busy General Hospital in Solihull, West Midlands. Duties will include supervising mechanical trade's staff, contractors and providing repair and maintenance service for the hospital premises and equipment.

The successful applicant must have:

  • A City and Guilds certificate (or equivalent) in a Mechanical/ Building Services discipline.

  • Served a recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical Services Engineering

  • Minimum 5 years experience, additional to any apprenticeship. Previous hospital maintenance experience would be an advantage.

    There will be a requirement to participate in the weekly on-call rota for and out of hours maintenance cover, currently 1 in 4.
