In this Apprenticeship, you willgain a level 6Bachelor's Degree with no course fees whilst obtaining invaluable, paid experience in a real-world company.

You'll joinBPM's IT team where you will gain working experience and proficiency in:
  • Windows software development
  • Database management
  • Android & iOS app development
  • Web development including websites & web apps
  • Cybersecurity
  • Project management
  • Marketing & compliance

Responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting the IT & Compliance Manager with developing software & automations to support the business
  • Development of our internet presence including websites & online marketing
  • Development of android/iOS applications with React Native
  • Code review & unit testing
  • SQL database management

In addition to your study at UCW (in Weston-super-Mare)one day per week, you will have a mentor within the company to help you develop your skills and knowledge as an IT/software specialist.

Requirements and prospects

  • Strong IT/technological skills
  • Previous programming experience in languages such as PHP, C#, Javascript or Java would be an advantage

Desired qualifications

This isaDegree level Apprenticeship, so the same criteria asapplying for a University Degree applies:

Candidates should already have 7 GCSEs A*-C including maths and English (4-9) plus predicted grades in one of the following:
  • BTEC (Pass, Pass, Distinction minimum) in an IT Subject
  • Three A Levels at grade C or above (in relevant subjects such as mathematics, science and IT, or a BTEC)
  • Extended Diploma at MMM
  • Or other qualifications equivalent to 96 UCAS tariff points, in addition to Level 2 English and mathematics

IMPORTANT: Starting the apprenticeship is subject to achieving your predicted grades successfully.
