You will be working at the community houses at Three Valleys Hospital, providing care for people with complex mental health issues in a safe and supportive environment.

Reporting to the Community House Manager and Lead Occupational Therapist, you will support the service in delivering and monitoring structured therapeutic activities and assisting in the planning for individual and group therapeutic interventions. You will build one-to-one rapports with service users to encourage participation in activities and empower recovery.

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will contribute to the assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and modification of structured activities in order to measure progression and ensure effectiveness.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be supported regionally and will have access to a variety of training and online courses to support your career development and growth.

This role involves:
  • Work closely with internal and external providers to ensure smooth delivery of support services to the community houses
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support intervention's work alongside clinical programmes
  • Liaise with the community house Ward Manager and wider team to update the needs of service users
  • Support the day-to-day administrative operation of the service

To be successful in this role:
  • GCSE English & Maths at C/grade 5 or above, or equivalent
  • Experience in a similar mental health environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative skills and background which can be transferred into a hospital setting
  • Full UK driving license and own vehicle
