We are looking to recruit Pre-Registration Cross Sector Trainee Pharmacy Technicians to work for Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust with our friendly team of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Assistant Technical Officers ***This is a 2 year fixed term appointment*** The post is 37.5 hours per week and the salary is £16,632 Band 4 Annex 21 - 1st year

Pharmacy Technicians have an important role within the hospital managing all aspects of medicines. This involves preparing and dispensing medicines and counselling patients on the use of their medicines.

We have introduced trainees to cross sector working, contributing to healthcare in General Practice surgeries and Community Pharmacies working across the whole health care system.

This is an excellent opportunity to train for a career as a Registered Pharmacy Technician. You will study for a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians whilst you work on an Apprenticeship program, gaining experience in various areas of pharmacy within the Hospital Trust, GP surgery and Community Pharmacy We are looking for candidates with vision and motivation to join our dynamic team. Applicants must possess a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade A - C or grade 4 - 9 including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry or dual science. You must be willing and able to follow an academic and practical training course and commit up to 10 hours per week of your own time for private study.
