Developmental Urgent Care / MIU Advanced Practitioner Job Advert.

In Cornwall we are leading the development of new ways of working with our unscheduled and urgent care patients. To support this programme of change Cornwall Foundation Partnership NHS Trust is in a position to recruit practitioners to the role of developmental Advanced Clinical Practitioners to work within the new service. They will be located within the Urgent Treatment Centre at Bodmin Community Hospital, in the heart of the county. These are Band 6 or 7 posts depending on experience and levels of qualification. These posts a primarily clinical function, with educational, research and service development aspects.

You will require previous experience in an emergency, urgent care, minor injury and illness or unscheduled care setting, to include adults and paediatrics. The posts will be to provide clinical cover, predominantly during day time hours, although the unit will operate 24 hours a day. You will join a staffing development programme encompassing the Advanced Clinical Practitioner Apprenticeship at Masters level already in progress. You will demonstrate outstanding communication skills, and an absolute commitment to providing excellent care as part of the Urgent and Minor Injury team.
