Band 2 Health Care Assistant Opportunities

The General and Specialist Medicine Division is now recruiting to the following areas
  • General Medical Wards
  • Stroke Unit
  • Senior Adult Medical Services
  • Specialist Medical Wards (such as respiratory, cardiology, palliative care and gastro)

These are full time posts based on an internal rotation of shifts including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. Our HCAs will need the flexibility to cover varied shift patterns. Shift times are

Early shift 0715-1415

Late shift 1315-2000

Long day 0715-2000

Night shift 1930-0745

Previous care experience, in a hospital or community setting,is essential as is an energetic and enthusiastic attitude. You must have good communication skills and have a kind, caring and compassionate nature.

As a HCA you will be a valued member of the team and can make a significant difference to people in your care.

The Trust offers onwards training for HCAs including working towards the Care Certificate, Maths and English qualifications and the opportunity after a minimum period of 12 months applying for the Nursing Associate Apprenticeship which if successful leads to a role as a Registered Nursing Associate.
