Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust provides specialist inpatient and community mental health, learning disabilities, addiction and acquired brain injury services for the people of Liverpool, Sefton and Kirkby, Merseyside. We also provide community physical health services in Liverpool, Sefton, secure mental health services for the North West of England, the West Midlands and Wales and specialist learning disability services across Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside.

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Administrator to provide administrative support to our Covid 19 Home Swabbing Team.

The Covid 19 Community Support Team was created following the outbreak of the Pandemic in July 2020. The Team consists of Clinical staff who provide testing at home for those who meet the criteria. The Criteria currently applies to Staff members and their family members who are too ill to travel to a testing site or are unable to drive; Children who are having dental treatment and need a anaesthetic; testing for individuals going into a Care Home and for End of Life pathway. The Team requires Administrative support ; 4 WTE Administrative staff members who support the Help Line; book testing appointments; support the reporting of results to relevant departments and Individuals and ensure data and sensitive information is accurately collated and reported to various Organisations both locally and Nationally.

Currently, the Administrator will be working from home as their base. This is regularly reviewed in line with Government guidance. The Administrators provide a 7 day service , working 9-5 across 7 days.

The successful candidate must be proficient in Microsoft packages, particularly Word & Excel. The post holder must have excellent communication skills both verbally and written to effectively communicate with patients, Carers and staff at all levels within the Organisation and external partners.

As well as possessing the ability to work well under pressure, showing initiative and self-motivation, understanding the importance of prioritising your own workload and meeting deadlines whilst maintaining a flexible approach is vital to the role as you will be expected to work both independently and as part of a team.

Full training on NHS systems will be provided.
