What will the apprentice be doing?

What will the apprentice be doing?
You will be given the chance to work alongside many different departments to see how a kitchen concept is made ‘real’ and manage the process through to see a product hit the retailer shelves. Understand customer needs on technical matters and provide both interface and effective communication to enhance customer and supplier’s perception of Bakkavor. You will learn about areas such as process design and food science in the context of food safety legislation and quality standards.

You will be provided with full support and training in order to kick start your career into becoming a future leader of food technology in Bakkavor. This technical role focuses on the key business areas of food safety and product quality and will involve an apprentice working alongside other departments to ensure that all manufacturing is done correctly, safely and to a high standard of quality. You will attain this understanding partly through gaining a nationally recognized qualification as well as through work-based experience.

Future career aspirations could include Senior Process Technologist, Quality Manager and Technical Manager to name a few.

Qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in English and maths + three others (Grade 9 – 4 or A*- C) essential
