We are looking for a front-end developer to join our growing software development team. While the majority of the work will be front end based, the ideal candidate will have some experience and knowledge in the following:
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • JavaScript / Angular / React / Node.JS / jQuery
  • Git

The successful candidates key role will involve:
  • Designing
  • Storyboarding
  • Testing
  • Maintaining and upgrading websites and software suites for both ourselves and our clients

Efficiency is key to providing a better service for our clients and customers. You will be required to work within our current team of developers and with our clients to assess needs and produce drafts and designs. Along with this you would move from being primarily a front-end developer to a full stack developer therefore any knowledge or desire to learn the following would be beneficial:
  • C#
  • SQL
  • Python

At this stage, the following would be expected of a successful candidate:
  • Researching and developing skills
  • Unit Testing
  • Identifying areas for modification
  • Writing and implementing efficient codes
  • Working closely with other team members to meet client's needs.

We are ideally looking for someone who has an interest in design, computer science and is up to date with the latest technology, has the ability to learn quickly and adapt to ever changing situations.

You will need to be able to think on your feet and use your own initiative when it comes to new ideas or problem solving. Good communication skills are a must both verbally and written. You will also be required to have good attention to detail and excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.

Desired qualifications

GCSEs at grades C/4 or above(or equivalent) in maths and English.

The ideal candidatewouldneed to havea level 3 software apprenticeship or BTEC qualification (or equivalent)

Future prospects

It is the aim of the business that the Apprentice will continue with us into full-time permanent employment upon successful completion of the apprenticeship course.

For example, if you already have a Level 4 qualification you still may be able to complete an apprenticeship at any level providing you meet the eligibility criteria and are learning substantive new skills.
