The commitment of our 17,100 staff is key to our success. We are one of the largest local employers and we aim to develop and support all our staff so they are able to deliver high quality, safe and efficient care. Continuing Care Nurse - Children

Evelina London is at the heart of a network of children's health services in Lambeth and Southwark and across South-East England. We provide a comprehensive range of children's health services, so that we are able to look after patients from antenatal diagnosis through childhood, into adolescence and on into adult services.

The Children's Community Nursing Service includes the Children's Hospital at home, Community nursing and Complex Needs Nursing teams which manage a range of childhood conditions. Children benefit from the expertise of the hospital in the comfort and safety of their own home and school. We have a dynamic team of highly skilled nurses who facilitate early discharge of children from hospital as well as prevent hospital admissions and ED attendance.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced children's continuing care nurse with the ability to work autonomously, who has a passion for providing high quality care that supports and empowers Children and Young People. The post holder will work collaboratively with the continuing care team and children's community nursing team. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and build a comprehensive children's nursing service for the local children/YP and families of Lambeth and Southwark

Closing date: 17th January 2021 (midnight)

Interview date: 29th January 2021

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship

Applications from job seekers who require current Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the current Resident Labour Market Test which will be in place until the end of December 2020. UK Visas and Immigration requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.

From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, have had to present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) are also subject to this requirement.
