The Joint Research and Enterprise Services (JRES) administers and facilitates research across both St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and St George's, University of London. Our aim is to support and enable research onsite by the effective and efficient financial management of research funding, and by ensuring that all research is conducted to the highest standards of governance, ethical and Good Clinical Practice

A opportunity has arisen for an experienced person to join the Research Governance and Delivery team at St Georges JRES as the Deputy Research Development and Delivery Manager.

The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the set up and facilitation team as well as leading a portfolio of their own "priority" research through set up and delivery (including Covid19 trials). This will involve providing support in assessing the resources and regulations required to deliver projects within and or by St Georges by working closely with investigators, research teams and internal and external stakeholders. The post-holder you will also support the monitoring and active performance management of research against our organisational priorities and regional and national objectives, as well as horizon scan for new opportunities.

The successful candidate should have experience in clinical healthcare R&D governance, have strong communication and organisational skills and be able to coordinate and manage a team effectively.

They should be proactive and well-organised with the ability to multi-task and to work well as part of a busy department. They should be a self-starter and enjoy the challenge of making things happen in a fast-moving environment. Experience in working within the public healthcare sector and or Higher Education sector would be advantageous.
