Stockport Foundation Trust - Haematology Sister/Deputy Ward Manager

Job Title and Grade: Bank Registered General Nurse - NTL00 - Band 6
Location/Trust: Laurel Suite, Stepping Hill Hospital, Poplar Grove, Hazel Grove, Sk2 7JE
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday. 37.5 hours per week
Dates: 18th January 2021 - 26th March 2021 with possibility of being extended or leading to fixed term contract
Pay Rates (hourly): Days: £20 Saturdays/Nights: £26 Sundays/Bank Hols: £32 - enhanced until 31st January 2021.

Please note: It is not essential that you are Chemotherapy Trained for this role.

The Role:

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse who would like to be part of providing better lives for the service users, working in a fast-paced NHS Foundation Trust?

If you answered yes, then we would love to hear from you as we are looking for a Deputy Ward Manager to cover Maternity Leave in our Laurel Suite at Stepping Hill Hospital.

The post holder has a key leadership and management role at a senior level and will assist the Ward Manager in providing specialist skills and knowledge to support the organisation and delivery of care for patients within the ward/ department. This will incorporate the provision of care to patients and their families in accordance with the philosophy and standards of care within the area, ensuring that Trust values and beliefs are upheld. The Deputy Ward Manager has a fundamental role in the delivery of high standards of nursing care, ensuring an environment that is conducive to well-being and staff development.

Post holders will be expected to participate fully in their personal development and review process in order to achieve the skills required to deliver the role effectively and efficiently.
