We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and dynamic Learning Administrator to join our busy Apprenticeship Team. This role is an apprenticeship opportunity which will be ideal for someone with limited office experience or has recently finished full time education, wishing to start their career in the NHS within an office environment.

The role involves providing high quality and effective administrative support to the team by handling incoming calls, replying to emails, dealing with incoming and outgoing post, liaising with staff across Trust sites, fielding apprenticeship training enquiries and helping to design high quality promotional materials for the team whilst promoting excellent customer service.

This post is paid under the annex 21 agreement. This means that during the training period, the successful candidate will be paid the following:

Months 1 to 6: you will be paid 70% of the top of the Band 3 pay scale which equates to £14799.40 per annum.

Months 7 to 18: you will be paid 75% of the top of the Band 3 pay scale which equates to £15,856.50 per annum.

Upon successful completion your pay will then increase to £19,737 per annum.

The successful candidate will receive a comprehensive package of training, which will include the Level 2 Customer Service Apprenticeship programme and role specific training, so that on successful completion of the apprenticeship, the position of Band 3 Learning Administrator will be awarded and the post holder will be able to undertake the duties and responsibilities as indicated in the Band 3 job description.

The post holder will be given the opportunity to progress onto the Level 3 Business and Administrator Apprenticeship.

Learning and development is continuously evolving so there is a need for the post holder to be able to embrace change and rise to the challenges these bring to the role.

The successful applicant must have English and Maths qualifications equivalent to GCSE grade C or above/ grades 4-9 / Level 2 Functional Skills/ NARIC equivalent and be willing to learn new skills to meet the essential criteria identified in the Person Specification of this post. You will need to demonstrate good communication skills, a 'can-do' attitude and a genuine desire to provide a high quality service for our customers.

DBS Checks - All new employees starting work with us will be charged for the cost of their DBS check if it is required for the role. The cost will be deducted from your salary either in 1 payment or over a six month period once you start employment. The charges are currently £27.20 for a standard check and £44.20 for an enhanced check. The level of check will be determined by the post you are applying for. Please note that Volunteers and Bank only staff will not be charged.
