The role

In this role you will be an integral part of a team who are committed to delivering the highest quality clinical outcomes in a supported environment, where you will be valued for your skills and expertise. The purpose of this role is to support, co-ordinate and manage a small team of staff in our recovery department to deliver the highest quality of planned care for patients. In so doing the successful candidate will be supporting the theatre manager both clinically and managerially. The successful candidate will also:
  • Have strong managerial and leadership skills
  • Be forward thinking, enthusiastic, and highly motivated.
  • Have experience and the confidence of analysing and resolving staff and clinical issues within the remit of this role
  • Demonstrate effective organisational skills and have the ability to plan the work of others
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills across a range of media
  • Be flexible in your approach to your work

In addition to your strong clinical skills, you will need to possess:
  • NMC or HCPC registration
  • Valid Intermediate Life Support training
  • In-depth knowledge and proven advanced perioperative practitioner experience
  • Computer literate and is willing to adapt to the hospital's computer applications
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Skills in diplomacy and negotiation, and to promote a positive environment for patients and staff
  • The flexibility to work shift patterns including evenings, weekend and on call.

Springfield Hospital opened in 1987 and is one of Essex leading private hospitals. It is a 64 bedded hospital all with ensuite facilities, three of which are two bedded parent and child rooms and a high dependency unit with three beds. There are six operating theatres, a physiotherapy department and on site private GP services.
