Cygnet Health Care have been providing a national network of high quality specialist mental health services for more than 30 years.

Devon Lodge is a 12 bed specialist residential service for adults with autism who may present with behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective care environment for those in our care.

We are currently recruiting for a night support worker to assist our residents in the provision of care ensuring Individuals retain as much of their dignity and individuality as possible as well as being involved in the general activities of the home.

You will work an average of 42 hours per week covering 12 hour night shifts on a rota basis.

In this role you'll:

  • Work with Adults who have autism, anxiety, limited communication, skills and complex needs, Because of this they may display challenging behaviour at times of high anxiety.
  • Support clients with everyday duties i.e. cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping etc
  • Support individuals to maintain good health and a healthy diet and promote and teach individuals new life skills.
  • Accompany individuals out & about in the community i.e. health visits, day service, college shopping, holidays, etc.
  • Support individuals with any activities (gym, bakery, arts & crafts, swimming, horse riding, bowling, football, cinema, cycling, walks, snooker, etc.)
  • Learn about individuals' specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way
  • Follow and learn specific behavioural support techniques
