WHAT UHS OFFERS

Our supportive induction process enables you to complete your care certificate, find your feet within the organisation, and quickly integrate into our team. We actively support career pathways and your personal development by offering NVQ and apprenticeship opportunities.

UHS is one of England's largest acute teaching trusts and we are delighted to have recently been rated 'Good' by the CQC. In the latest national NHS Staff Survey we ranked;
  • seventh in the country for staff engagement
  • fourth best nationally for our proportion of staff saying that they would recommend the hospital as a place to work or to receive care

WHERE WE'RE RECRUITING

We're recruiting HCAs across UHS and will allocate you to your department after successful interview. Please note this does not include paediatrics or women and newborn.

As a Trust we are working hard to keep patients, staff and visitors safe during the present times and as part of this role you may be caring for COVID-19 positive patients or patients who are asymptomatic, but we have the appropriate PPE, procedures as well as our COVID ZERO campaign to keep everyone as safe as possible.

INTERVIEW PROCESS

After receiving your application, a member of our recruitment team will call you to discuss your interest in the position.

If both you and we feel this could be a good fit, we will invite you to an interview. Interviews are currently being conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams.

Following your interview, we will be in touch with an offer of employment or to discuss feedback.
