Are you looking for an interesting post that offers a change of direction in your career and the opportunity for you to develop skills in practice education?

An opportunity has arisen within the Practice Education Team and we are recruiting a Registered Health Care Professional to join us as a Practice Education Facilitator to support undergraduate students and apprentices undertaking clinical placements.

This post will be based at York Hospital, however we work together as a team across all sites, covering practice placements and learner support for all Healthcare Professional Students within the organisation. This involves liaising with the wider Clinical Undergraduate and Work Based Learning Team, Trust staff, learners and our partner organisations. It can involve delivery of presentations, problem solving, mediation and organisational skills in order to meet the challenges of professional education.

To work with us you will need good communication skills, knowledge of current practice education issues and experience of working with Healthcare Professional Students. We can offer you a varied working experience, opportunities to develop your professional skills and work within a friendly supportive team.

If you are currently employed by the Trust and you wish to apply for this role on a secondment basis please seek permission from your current line manager before applying for the post.

The post is advertised as full time, however, we would welcome applications from those who would prefer to work part time.

DBS Checks - All new employees starting work with us will be charged for the cost of their DBS check if it is required for the role. The cost will be deducted from your salary either in 1 payment or over a six month period once you start employment. The charges are currently £27.20 for a standard check and £44.20 for an enhanced check. The level of check will be determined by the post you are applying for. Please note that Volunteers and Bank only staff will not be charged.
