An exciting apprenticeship opportunity has arisen for a Community Engagement Apprentice to join our team, supporting a wide range of innovative community projects within the Customer Engagement & Inclusion Team on a temporary 18-month fixed term.

This is a varied role and your time can be spent working with young people in schools, or holiday clubs, developing their self-confidence, coupled with working within our network of community food stores by managing the membership database, organising pantry volunteer training and family cookery sessions.

In this rewarding role, you will have opportunities to work with local people, planning and delivering effective community development projects, as well as researching and developing ideas for new projects and activities. You will also have the chance to be involved with our furniture project for households in need, taking referrals and liaising with our Furniture Team.

With the ability to communicate effectively with customers and skills to deal with difficult customers in a positive manner, candidates for this role will have good literacy and communication abilities and a good working knowledge of IT and Microsoft Office applications. You will undertake 'on the job training' to understand the business and carry out key tasks, as well as being supported to obtain a relevant qualification.
