What will the apprentice be doing?
The trainee will be working on a flexible 3 day per week work routine and will be tasked on providing research work on series of ongoing projects which is currently run by the company. This will involve using basic skills and knowledge on computing and mathematics to undertake planing ,design and development work.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The candidate will gain insight into advanced research consulting methods with regards to science and technology and how it is applied on a day to day basis for development work. A level 6 qualification should be attained by the end of the programme. This is a flexible role and candidate should be able to work remotely however, there is the need for a daily update and reports on tasks undertaken.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
A sound knowledge and use of CAD/CAM/CAE will be expected to be gained by the candidate by the end of this programme and could be a potential skill set to progress into advanced digital manufacting industry.
