Specialist Speech and Language Therapist - ASD , Band 7

Base : Shooters Hill, Greenwich
As part of an Integrated Neurodevelopmental Service, the ASD team provides specialist assessment and diagnosis and management of children and young people presenting with Autism Spectrum conditions. The Greenwich Integrated Neurodevelopmental Team (INDT) provides specialist assessment and diagnostic services to children and young people presenting with ASD. The team see young people, registered with a Greenwich GP, up to the age of 18.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two specialist Speech and Language Therapists to join the integrated team, which brings together a variety of disciplines from across CAMHS and Specialist Children's services. The different disciplines include Community Paediatrics, Speech and Language Therapy, Music therapy, Clinical Psychology, CAMHS nurses and Psychiatrists.
The successful candidate will work as a member of the team contributing to assessment and diagnosis of children and young people presenting with ASD. You will liaise with colleagues in health, education, social care and the voluntary sector as required. You will be operationally managed by the team manager.
We require a motivated individual with good clinical skills and knowledge in the area of ASD. The applicant will have good interpersonal skills and an ability to work well as part of a team. They will also have good computer skills and competence in using digital technology.
Hours of work will be predominantly 09.00 - 17.00 with flexibility to work between the hours of 08.00 - 18.00 occasionally to meet the needs of the service.
