In this role you will be responsible for supporting media relations activity, keeping a keen eye on the news agenda, and compiling high quality monitoring and research services to Hanover's existing public relations clients, as well as research and administrative support on new business activities.

You'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, from the world's top healthcare companies to exciting new start-ups, ultimately helping patients and healthcare professionals across numerous disciplines. Our clients include Novartis, Lilly, Celltrion Healthcare, NHSPS and Endomag.

We are on the lookout for someone who is excited about helping breakthrough products, services, and companies to succeed.

The successful candidate will join a team with expertise in product PR, patient advocacy, corporate communications and media relations, and work across several exciting therapy areas including oncology, immunology, and pain.

The team was a triple award winner in 2019, with wins at the PRWeek, SABRE and PharmaTimes awards. In 2020, we were shortlisted for an award at the Communique Awards and won the PharmaTimes Charity Team award. We are currently nominated for PRWeek 2020 Specialist Consultancy of the Year.

The role will comprise of four days with the team, and one day undertaking apprenticeship study.

While at Hanover, responsibilities will include:
  • Monitoring media to compile up-to-date notes on issues relevant to clients
  • Drafting and distributing press releases and media materials
  • Building relationships with clients and potential clients, suppliers, and the media
  • Creating engaging content
  • Conducting value-add research and producing high quality draft intelligence reports for existing clients and new business meetings
  • Assisting in administrative duties, supporting wider account teams

Desired qualifications

  • GCSE Grades 9-4 (A*- C) or equivalent in English Language and maths
  • Minimum of 3 A Levels or equivalent is preferred
  • Graduates must have studied a degree which is completely different to PR, Communications, Journalism or Advertising degrees
