About the apprenticeship
Duties
You will be working within Building Services which is part of the
Directorate of Place. This section is responsible for maintaining the Authority's Public Buildings and Housing stock.
As a Bricklaying Apprentice you will be required to complete a training programme that will be assessed by a combination of practical exercises
and work based assignments
Experience will be gained through on the job training within various
sections of the Department.
To undertake and follow direction provided. Some of which might involve
lone working.
Be prepared to work outside in all weather conditions. Suitable
protective clothing will be provided.
Will be expected to deal with normal hazards associated with site based operations - at all times suitable personal protective equipment will be available
Requirements
Skills
Successful applicants will be capable, well organised, eager to learn and will have excellent communication and presentation skills.
Qualifications
It would be helpful to have GCSE's/Standard Grades in Maths, English/Welsh or Technology (confirmed or predicted)

Welsh Spoken Skills: No Welsh Written Skills: No
