You will be part of a friendly, professional team in a fast paced busy environment and key duties will include dealing with daily emails, maintaining accurate records, answering and dealing with telephone and face to face queries, attending regular meetings and general administrative duties.

You will gain experience in all relevant aspects of outpatient booking to enable career progression to a booking co-ordinator role for the right candidate. As this is an apprentice post the post holder may be required to work in various locations throughout the organisation to develop skills knowledge and experience in all aspects of outpatient booking.

Successful candidates must have both written and verbal communication skills and have a good telephone manner. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to multi-task in a busy environment, work under your own initiative with good organisational and time management skills and be able to manage your own workload flexibly to meet the demands of the service. Basic IT skills are essential. Training will be given on the Hospital Systems used.

There may also be opportunity for career development at the end of the apprenticeship but this is not guaranteed.
