The Smith + Nephew Digital Health Cybersecurity Vulnerability Analyst, in collaboration with Global IT, R&D and Compliance Teams, will provide product and cloud Vulnerability Management capabilities ensuring all Smith + Nephew products and their data is secure and resilient to cybersecurity threats.

Will collaborate with different internal stakeholders to identify and verify potential cybersecurity deficiencies (vulnerabilities, weaknesses, misconfigurations, indicators of potential compromise and threats).

This is a practical technical role that will allow the ideal candidate to apply industry best cybersecurity tooling and methodologies against our portfolio of in-development and on-market products.

Responsibilities:

(50%) Technical Cyber Security Vulnerability/Threat Hunting - Practical Cybersecurity assessment (Penetration Testing) of in-development and on-market products

(50%) Technical Cyber Security Finding Risk Evaluation and Reporting - Assist Cybersecurity Engineers and Leads in the Risk Evaluation and Documentation of confirmed cybersecurity deficiencies

For the Apprentice, you will get Practical experience working the "high-demand" industry of cybersecurity. You will learn from cybersecurity professionals onhow to grow/build your career.

Requirements and prospects

Desired qualifications

Entry requirements are agreed and set, based on numerous factors including availability of additional on-the-job support, by both the employer and NCH.

As such, entrance requirements may vary between apprenticeships.

Typically, employers require:
  • Three A levels (or equivalent at CCC or above)
  • At least Grade 4/C GCSE maths, English and IT or equivalent

Some applicants may not have traditional qualifications as listed above, and have prior learning and skills developed from the workplace, these will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Apprentices will also need to meet the government's eligibility criteria.
