What will the apprentice be doing?
You will work in a fast-paced quality control laboratory team, based at our Cassel site in Billingham. You will be responsible for carrying out a wide variety of analytical tests on our process intermediates and final products to meet process safety and customer specifications, as well as core activities including asset maintenance, calibration and solution preparations.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
On completion of this Apprenticeship, you will recieve the Level 6 University award: (BSc Hons) in Chemistry Degree.
The training provided will be a mixture of on-site training, e-learning and block release with the University of Bradford. Study will commence in September 2021.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Once you have completed your apprenticeship, you will become a fully qualified Laboratory Scientist playing a vital role in wider site activities including occupational health monitoring and emission monitoring to fulfil our Environmental Permit, and research and development projects on the site.
