An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised, motivated and enthusiastic (Full-Time - 37.5 hours), Apprentice Admin Assistant to join the Adult and Specialist Administration Hub (North).

The successful candidate will support the Main Reception Team based at Cavell Centre, Peterborough which operates from 7.45am to 8.15pm 7 days a week, 365 days of the year, working pattern will be 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

It is expected that the chosen candidate be a team player, have a strong work ethic, excellent customer care skills and sense of accountability whilst supporting the wider clinical teams by assisting with tasks including answering switchboard, typing, cash office functions, laminating and processing post.

In addition the successful candidate will be a first point of contact and will need to be confident in speaking on the telephone and demonstrating excellent communication skills in a busy office environment. A good working knowledge of Microsoft, an eye for detail, and be able to work under considerable pressure to tight deadlines in sometimes changing/challenging situations are essential.

As part of the role and if you meet the eligibility criteria there will be an opportunity to complete a Level 2, 3, 4 Apprenticeship qualification in Business and Administration. As part of the apprenticeship you will achieve a nationally recognised qualification and gain experience in administration in a health care setting.

An apprenticeship is a framework of qualifications made up of an NVQ, Technical Certificate and Functional skills in Maths and English. Undertaking an apprenticeship qualification is a great way to progress onto the next step on your career pathway.
