As a Level 4 Software Developer Apprentice you will be undertaking a recognised apprenticeship qualification including Microsoft certifications, at the same time as working as part of the company's software development team.

As a Microsoft Software Developer Apprentice your main roles and responsibilities will include:
  • Creating a software guide for the application to be used by the Management Team
  • Creating a user guide to guide all employees in how to use the app
  • Developing an application for the company portal - This portal has been created by the businesscurrent IT Apprentice, but it must work as an application for mobile use for the Delivery Team to use in the service. The application must have the functionalities of the desktop portal and must work across IOS and Android

Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, you will receive Microsoft training and accreditation through blended learning. This combines online technical training within a virtual classroom, as well as real-world and practical experience with your employer. The certifications you gain are highly respected and globally recognised. The skills, knowledge and experience you will gain whilst on the programme are invaluable, giving you the best possible start to your professional career within the IT industry.

Desired qualifications

To be considered for this role, you ideally will hold a C/4 grade for both GCSE or eqyuivalents in maths & English, and in three or four other subjects at least.

You will have completed a Level 3 apprenticeship in Software Development or hold a Level 3 (or equivalent) BTEC and/or A Level in a similar subject with experience in a similar role.

Please note that you must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject (e.g. a degree).

Future prospects

There is potential for a full time role upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
