Our services include:

Mental health services
  • We provide a wide range of treatment and support to young people, adults and older people experiencing mental illness both as inpatients and within the community. This includes treatment in secure and specialised settings.

Community health services
  • Our diverse range of community health services provide support and treatment to both adults and children. We deliver this care in community hospitals, health centres, GP surgeries and in people's homes.

Learning disabilities services
  • We provide crisis support and inpatient services and our community learning disability teams work in partnership with local councils to provide assessment and support for adults with learning disabilities.

Social care
  • We provide personalised social care support to people with a range of needs, including people with learning disabilities or mental illness, supporting people to live independently.

We are able to offer an exciting job opportunity to an individual who meets the job specification to work within our Education Team, as part of the Workforce Development and Learning Service. EPUT is committed to the development and enhancement of our education provision and the support offered to learners and students on education programs.

The successful applicant will be joining a team of dynamic, motivated and driven individuals who are looking to enhance and expand our provision and diversify in the way in which we offer and deliver learning experiences to those undertaking programmes of learning. The purpose will be to identify new and innovative ways to increase our placement capacity above that which we currently offer in traditional placement experiences. The outcome of these new types of placements will also ensure continued quality of learning and to ensure processes are in place to safeguard the longevity of any new developments. This expansion of placements will require the identification planning resourcing and implementation of different processes and methods above the traditional placement experience whilst still maintaining the requirements of the regulatory bodies.

The role will require the successful post holder to be able to work across the Trust locations within Essex. The role is designed to enhance the quality of the learning experience and to encourage and inspire staff, students and learners with regards to their development and progression in their selected health career looking at every student or learner as a potential health care professional within EPUT. The role will positively contribute to the future development of existing and newly appointed staff to the organisation and supports the implementation of the Trust recruitment and retention plan.
