Here's more about the role and what we're looking for;

An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Physiologist to join the Cardiology section of our busy Diagnostic Department.

We are a large department working across a number of physiological science disciplines including invasive and non-invasive Cardiology, Respiratory & Sleep, Gastric and Vascular Ultrasound.

Applicants should hold a BSc Healthcare Science degree (CVRS), PTP in Healthcare Science (CVRS) or equivalent.

A broad understanding of cardiac investigations is required along with practical skills in non-invasive Cardiology; including ECG recording, ambulatory monitoring and ETT. Skills in ECG interpretation are required.

Consideration will be given to applicants currently studying towards a BSc in Healthcare Science (CVRS): level 6 degree apprenticeship. For such applicants the Annex 21 pay structure would be used on the Band 5 payscale.

Team work is essential in the NHS and we would be looking for those who can demonstrate excellent communication skills and willingness to learn.

The core hours of department are 8am - 6pm. We also provide out of hours on call services including PPCI and Echocardiography. There also may be a future requirement to participate in a 6/7 day service based on service need.

Derby is located in central England with good road and rail links to other major cities in the region such as Nottingham and Birmingham.

This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week.
