About the apprenticeship

Duties

• Maintain a positive and friendly Company image by acting as the first line of contact to visitors and Clients..
• Carry out administrative tasks as required to support Kerry Ward to ensure the smooth running of the office, including taking messages, gathering and disseminating information.
• Complete assigned workflow tasks within company specified timescales
• Answer the telephone and direct calls as necessary, ensuring the name of the caller, nature of the call, date and time is recorded.
• Assist with the typing of documents.
• Manage emails and ensure they are responded to in an acceptable and timely manner.
• Liaise with Clients, Suppliers and Stakeholders as and when required.
• Assist with project work as and when required.
• Maintain databases/spreadsheets and input information, accurately and in a timely manner.
• Be mindful of confidentiality at all times.
• Adhere to data protection/GDPR rules and regulations.
• Offer flexibility and become a supporting team member.
• Be prepared to undertake further training to ensure self-development.
• Be responsible for your own health and safety and mindful of the health and safety of your colleagues.
• Attend regular reviews with your manager.
• Ensure you follow the Company's policies with regard to equal opportunities and discrimination.
• Undertake any other reasonable duty deemed appropriate to your position.

Additional information

The Administrator will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administration of CJP Paraplanning, as well as reviewing and improving on existing processes and standards.

The Administrator will provide administrative support to CJP Paraplanning and ensure the smooth running of the administration offices.

This is a working from home based role.

Who can apply?

To be eligible to apply you:

  • will be at least 16 years of age at the time of making your application
  • will not be in full-time education (you can apply while still attending school/college/university but will have finished or intend to finish your studies by the time your apprenticeship starts)
  • will need to meet the Civil Service Nationality requirements to apply.

ALS eligibility

Please note that ALS our training providers have their own eligibility in order to provide the funding required to undertake an apprenticeship. You may not be eligible to apply if:

  • you already hold a qualification at Level 3 or above in ICT, Software, Web and Telecoms or a similar subject
  • you already hold a qualification at Level 3 or above in Business Administration, Customer Service or a similar subject

What are the benefits?  

How much will I be paid?

You will earn £19,240 a year while training. When you pass your apprenticeship you can apply for a permanent job at the Welsh Government. Within 2 years of starting your apprenticeship you could be earning £22,500. 

You will get 31 days holidays as well as 10 public and privilege days. We offer flexible working arrangements to help you get the right work/life balance. You will also be eligible for membership of the Civil Service Pension Scheme
