SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST
BAND 6 SPECIALIST SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST WORKING WITH SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN
STAFFORD/CANNOCK/SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE AREA
We are looking to recruit an experiencedSpeech and Language Therapist who has proven clinical skills and enthusiasm for working with children in their school setting.
The primary role will be to assess, diagnose and formulate treatment plans to develop a child's speech, language and communication skills in the school setting to maximise the child's opportunity to access the curriculum.
Team working with the child educators and parents/carers is an essential part of this job role.
A key role will be for the post holder to furtherdevelop the skills and competencies of the child's educators. This will be done by demonstration of targets and identified training so staff who are supporting the child's speech, language and communication skills are confident to do this.
You will be supported by a Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist and have access to monthly supervision, Speech and Language Therapy Team meetings and an annual appraisal.
