As an organisation we are recruiting for a number of Employability contracts to support the unemployment back to work. This job will play a key role in contributing to the UK's economic recovery, 'Restart' which is a cornerstone of the Governments 'Plan for Jobs' strategy and the existing expansion to the Work and Health Programme (WHP_JETS). The role will be supporting individuals who have been in long- term unemployment or those affected because of the devastating economic impact of Covid-19. We will address the barriers to gaining new employment with tailored support for each individual to achieve and sustain good work, including supported job search, re-training for a different sector and restoring self-confidence for work.

We are currently seeking committed and motivated Placement Co-ordinator to join our team. You will deliver a high level of customer service at all customer/employer contact points, ensure a professional and positive working relationship with all internal stakeholders. Identify suitable candidates for the available vacancies, either via CMS interrogation or engagement with Employment Advisors. Ensure participants are suitably prepared at each stage of the job start journey, e.g. ensure job understanding, interview preparedness, Day 1 readiness.

Our ideal candidate must be to achieve targets by sourcing, screening and matching our programme participants to the appropriate job vacancies and securing job starts. This will involve working between the programme participants and a number of internal teams, including Employment Advisors and Employer Account Managers. You will be a goal focused team player to build positive relationships, guide, inspire, challenge, encourage and help our programme participants secure employment. This is a fast-paced role which involves dealing with multiple stakeholders simultaneously, participants, employers and operational delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities
Provide support to the internal Employer Services Team (EST) in aspects of employer account management
Identify the specific recruitment needs of employers and undertake tailored pre-screens and where appropriate other types of assessments
Provide support to internal operational teams by coordinating the fulfilment of vacancies
Maintain timely progress updates to all stakeholders involved, ensuring pro-active communication at all times
Fully understand the local labour market to ensure readiness to respond to emerging sector demands
Market specific customers to employers

Skills and Experience
• A good working knowledge of the local labour market in the specified geographical locations
• Fully IT literate in using a range of Microsoft Office programmes and Microsoft Teams

• Knowledge of the employability industry
• Knowledge of the recruitment industry
• Full driving licence to enable deployment across a specified geographical area (region), when required

Additional Information
Salary: GBP25,339 - GBP27,106 per annum (dependent on experience)
Location: Southampton
Hours: 37 hrs (full time) 8.30am- 5.00pm Monday -Thursday, Friday 8.30am -4.30pm
Closing Date: 16th March 2022 (Rolling campaign due to high volume of activity)
