Currently we total over 3,000 stores worldwide, of which over 1,200 can be found in Europe.

The Marketing team's purpose is to drive sales, traffic and awareness of the Claire's and/or Icing brands through strong marketing campaigns across all channels. You would work closely with the Marketing Operations Manager and Coordinator and other cross functional partners, to understand the day to day running of the team.

This position will require confidence, strong communication & coordination skills, critical quick-thinking, good listening & organisational skills, a creative approach, with great attention to detail and strong excel, and PowerPoint skills. Past experience with retail and a good understanding of our fashion customer & her world & what appeals to her is helpful.

The primary project of the Marketing Operations Intern will be to explore and drive our growing Gift Card programme. The role will help us in our ongoing exploration to develop and execute a comprehensive global Gift Card product/programme strategy aligned with company goals and industry best practices. The project requires strategic thinking, operational execution, data-driven testing and analysis, and marketing and communication planning, for which the Marketing Operations Intern will help to set up process and drive innovation.

The Internship will run from May 25th to June 16th

You will be involved in:

Working closely with the European Marketing Operations team to understand and support store initiatives including the production of POS signage, instore events and other key business initiatives
Helping to develop Global Gift Card strategy to drive profitable business performance and a best-in-class customer experience. This will be split into key areas:COMPETITVE RESEARCH:

Reviewing the competitive gift card landscape, market trends, and customer expectations. This will be used to benchmark our gift card programme and identify development opportunities. This will include:
Research of best Practices
Comp Shopping online and instore gift card programmes including 3rd party, promotions, fixture usage for our global brands.
Researching and designing a potential customer survey to ask Claire's customers about their gift card shopping habits and preferences.COLLATION OF CURRENT ASSETS & REVIEWING GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES:

Review current offerings and using the insights found, look at expansion opportunities in gift card designs, marketing assets/messaging, merchandising/display strategy, product placement, and customer experience across channels and platforms. This will include:
Collating information on all current placements and exploring opportunities for more
Gathering all currently used artwork across all channels to review for updating and refreshing in line with research and competitive analysis
Use competitive analysis to review potential promotional offers, placement tests and other ideas for all channels
Explore opportunities to work with field teams to aid growth in storesUPDATING CURRENT ASSETS:

Supporting cross-functional stakeholders with setting up gift card updates, resources, communications, training, and change management as needed. This will include:

Assisting on collaborating with design team to update artwork for all channels
Research and Development into potential POS, fixtures and other items outlined as a growth opportunityTRACKING FOR FUTURE GROWTH:

Developing processes for efficient operational execution & achievement of gift card specific KPIs. This will include:
Helping to determine Key Performance Indicators which can be tracked to ensure growth of the strategy as it expands
Setting up reports and tracking to be used by teams for ongoing analysis of the project
Other duties as designated in support of our gift card strategy
About You

Studying for a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Direct Marketing or business-related field preferred
Experience in retail desired
Creative problem-solver, solution-oriented
Keen learner, open to new processes and ways of working to complete tasks, especially whilst working remotely
Strong understanding of retail business, fashion and trends
Strong communication, written and verbal skills; ability to craft presentations tailored to different audiences
