Job Description:
A job working with children is primarily a fun one. You will be helping children learn through play and you could be organising group activities or working with a child on a one-to-one basis. The role is based in a nursery which provides full day care for children aged 3 months to school age. Working with children provides constant challenges, personally and professionally. You could be planning a curriculum, a day trip or working with parents - the job will vary from day to day.
The role will include:
* Undertaking training to obtain recognised qualifications
* To work as a team
* To provide all aspects of care for children including washing, changing and feeding, under full supervision
* To assist with meeting the personal and emotional needs of children aged 3months to school age
* To provide adult interaction with children in a supervised setting
* To be aware of the settings confidentiality policy and data protection

To qualify for this apprentice role you need to be 16 to 18 years old.This post requires a DBS check as there may be periods of unsupervised access to children. An enhanced DBS and satisfactory references would be obtained prior to commencement of employment.
